Customer Portal

The Customer Portal gives external stakeholders — clients, partners, end users — a read-only window into the tickets they submitted or that are relevant to them. They don’t need a Collabase account.

Enabling the portal

  1. Open the project → Settings → Portal
  2. Toggle Enable Customer Portal
  3. Configure the portal name and welcome message
  4. Copy the portal URL to share with your customers

What customers see

The portal shows only tasks tagged to the requesting customer’s organization or email domain. Customers can:
  • View ticket status, priority, and last update
  • Read comments posted as Public (private comments are hidden)
  • See file attachments marked as public
  • Submit new tickets via the portal form (if enabled)

Portal form

Enable the portal submission form to let external users create new tasks without logging into Collabase:
  1. Settings → Portal → Enable Submission Form
  2. Configure which fields to show (subject, description, priority, attachments)
  3. Set the default task type for portal submissions
  4. Optionally require email verification before submission
Submitted tasks appear in the project queue tagged with the submitter’s email and the source PORTAL.

Comment visibility
