Space settings let Space Owners and Space Admins configure how a Space looks, what apps are active in it, and who has access. Open them by navigating to your Space and clicking Settings in the sidebar.

General

The General tab controls the Space’s identity.
SettingDescription
NameThe display name shown in the sidebar and header. Can be changed at any time.
Mission statementA short description shown on the Space cockpit. Helps members understand what the Space is for at a glance.
IconAn emoji or icon displayed next to the Space name.
VisibilityControls who can see and access the Space — Private, Internal, or Public. See Spaces for details.
The Space slug is set at creation time and cannot be changed afterwards. All Collabase links use the slug, so changing it would break existing URLs.

Apps

The Apps tab lets you enable or disable Collabase apps within this Space. All apps are enabled by default when a Space is created.
AppWhat it does when enabled
DocsMembers can create and manage pages, templates, and the page tree
Test ManagementMembers can create test projects, suites, cases, runs, and record results
AutomationMembers can build and run automation pipelines
IntranetMembers can publish announcements and blog posts
Disabling an app hides it from the sidebar for all members. Existing data is preserved — re-enabling the app restores access to it.

Members

The Members tab lets you invite individual users or groups and assign their Space role.

Inviting a member

1

Open Space Settings → Members

Click the Add Member button.
2

Search for the user

Type a name or email address. Only users who already have a Collabase account are shown.
3

Assign a Space role

Choose Owner, Admin, Member, or Viewer. See Permissions for what each role can do.
4

Click Add

The user immediately gains access to the Space with the selected role.

Granting access to a Group

Instead of inviting individual users, you can grant access to an entire Group at once. All current and future members of the Group inherit the Space role you assign.
1

Click Add Group in the Members tab

Select the Group from the dropdown.
2

Assign a Space role

Choose the role for all members of this Group.
3

Click Save

Group membership is reflected immediately.

Changing or removing a member

  • To change a member’s role, use the role dropdown on their row.
  • To remove a member, click the remove button on their row. The user immediately loses access to the Space.

Danger zone

The Danger zone tab contains irreversible actions.
ActionEffect
Delete SpacePermanently deletes the Space and all its content — pages, test projects, automations, and member assignments. This cannot be undone.
Deleting a Space is permanent. Export or back up any critical content before proceeding. Only the Space Owner can delete a Space.
