Collabase is a self-hosted collaboration platform built for teams that care about where their data lives. It combines structured knowledge management, quality assurance, workflow automation, and internal communication into one product — all running on your own servers.

Who Collabase is for

Collabase is designed for engineering, product, and operations teams that need a single source of truth for documentation, testing, and internal comms — without sending their data to third-party SaaS vendors. It is especially well-suited for teams that operate under:
  • GDPR and European data protection requirements
  • Swiss data sovereignty obligations (Collabase is built and hosted in Switzerland)
  • Internal compliance policies that prohibit storing sensitive content outside company infrastructure

Why self-hosted

When you run Collabase on your own infrastructure, you control the data entirely. There are no usage-based pricing tiers, no vendor lock-in, and no questions about where your documentation or test results are stored. The Swiss Vault philosophy underpins the whole product: your data stays on your servers, under your control, subject to your compliance requirements.

The four apps

Collabase is organized around four integrated apps. Each app is available inside a Space and works alongside the others.

Collabase Docs

Collaborative wiki and knowledge base with rich-text pages, page trees, templates, and full-text search.

Test Management

Quality operating system — organize test projects, suites, cases, runs, and result tracking in one place.

Automation

Visual workflow builder. Build trigger-condition-action pipelines with native Collabase integration — no code required.

Intranet

Internal communication hub for announcements, blog posts, and company-wide updates.

How it all fits together

Everything in Collabase lives inside a Space — a top-level container for a department, project, or product area. Spaces have their own members, permissions, and app configurations. A single Collabase instance can host many independent Spaces. A shared permission model and a shared search index connect every Space. A test run can link to the page that describes the feature. An automation can trigger when a page is published. A new team member can find everything about a project — docs, test results, tasks — without switching tools.
