Intranet

Collabase Intranet feed The Intranet is Collabase’s internal communication layer. It surfaces blog posts, announcements, and company-wide updates in a single, chronological feed — so important information reaches the right people without competing with real-time chat. Chat is effective for immediate conversation. It is poor at preserving information that needs to last longer than a day. When a policy changes, a product ships, or leadership has an announcement to make, that content needs its own space — findable, authored, and visible to everyone who should see it. The Intranet gives structured communication a dedicated home inside the platform your team already uses.

The feed

The Intranet feed is accessible from the main navigation, outside of any individual Space. It shows blog posts from all Spaces you have access to, ordered by publish date — newest first. You do not need to navigate to individual Spaces to find content. Everything published to the Intranet surfaces here automatically, filtered to what you are permitted to see.

Announcements

Announcements are pinned blog posts that stay prominently visible at the top of the feed. Use them for time-sensitive company-wide communication — new policies, major releases, or anything the whole organisation needs to notice. To pin a post, open its context menu and select Pin to Intranet. To unpin it, open the same menu and select Unpin from Intranet. Archived posts are removed from the feed entirely but remain accessible in the Space where they were created.

Permission model

The Intranet feed respects Space visibility — you see posts from Spaces you have access to, and nothing else.
Space visibilityWho sees the posts in the feed
PRIVATEOnly members of that Space
INTERNALAll logged-in users across the organisation
This means you can publish department-specific updates from a private Space and company-wide announcements from an internal Space — and each user’s feed is automatically filtered to what they should see. No manual audience selection required.
There is no separate permission model for the Intranet. Access is determined entirely by Space membership and Space visibility settings.
