A blog post is a page with its type set to BLOG. It lives in a Space like any other page and has access to the full rich-text editor — images, callouts, tables, code blocks, and embedded content. The difference is visibility: when you publish a blog post, it automatically appears in the Intranet feed for everyone who has access to that Space. You write blog posts the same way you write standard pages. The routing to the feed is handled by the platform.

Creating a blog post

1

Open your Space

Navigate to the Space where you want to publish the post. Use a Space with INTERNAL visibility if the post is meant for the whole organisation, or a PRIVATE Space if it is for your department or team only.
2

Open Docs

Click Docs in the Space sidebar to open the page tree.
3

Create a new page

Click New Page. In the page creation dialog, set the type to Blog. Give the page a clear, descriptive title.
4

Write your post

Use the editor to write your content. Blog posts support all the same formatting as standard pages — headings, bold and italic text, bullet lists, numbered lists, tables, images, callouts, code blocks, and more.
5

Publish

When your post is ready, open the Status menu at the top of the page and set the status to Published. The post immediately appears in the Intranet feed for all users with access to the Space.
Write in DRAFT status while you are working. Only set the status to Published when the post is ready to be seen. Drafts do not appear in the Intranet feed.

Pinning a post as an announcement

Announcements are pinned posts that stay at the top of the Intranet feed, above the chronological list of regular posts. Use them for time-sensitive, high-visibility communication. To pin a published blog post:
  1. Open the post in the editor or the Intranet feed.
  2. Open the context menu (the ··· button next to the post title or in the feed card).
  3. Select Pin to Intranet.
The post moves to the announcements section at the top of the feed immediately.
You must have at least Editor permissions in the Space to pin or unpin a post. Viewers cannot manage announcement pins.

Unpinning and archiving

To unpin an announcement without removing it from the feed, open the context menu and select Unpin from Intranet. The post returns to its chronological position in the regular feed. To remove a post from the feed entirely, change its status back to DRAFT or set it to a non-published status. The post remains accessible inside the Space but no longer appears in the Intranet feed.
Archiving or unpublishing a post removes it from the feed for all users — including those who may have bookmarked the announcement. Make sure the content is no longer needed before depublishing.

Using Automation with blog posts

You can trigger automations when a blog post is published. For example, automatically notify a Slack channel or send an in-app notification to a distribution list when a new post goes live. See Automation — Overview to set up a workflow, or Automation — Triggers for the available event triggers.
